With the passing of Virgil Abloh, it seems Louis Vuitton is now ready to fill the vacant position of creative director and Pharrell Williams has been chosen as the right candidate.
WSJ recently reported that Williams was in talks with LV to head designing for the menswear division.

While more widely recognized as a hugely successful artist and record producer, breaking out as a member of the music group The Neptunes in the 1990s, the "Blurred Lines" producer is no stranger to fashion. He is already known for his futuristic and avant-garde style and is already heavily immersed in the fashion world.
He also collaborated with Louis Vuitton on previous projects in 2014 and 2018.

Louis Vuitton made the official announcement on social media, welcoming Williams to the LV family as the new Men's Creative Director.
Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton’s Chairman and CEO, wrote “I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men’s Creative Director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”
With his bold and daring attitude towards creativity and self-expression through art and fashion, Williams is the perfect fit for the luxury house to move forward.
His debut collection will be shown in June at Men's Fashion Week in Paris.
