ADIDAS AND KANYE END TIES; ADIDAS TO CONTINUE SELLING YEEZY DESIGNS

It looks like the Kanye x Adidas partnership has come to a close. In the aftermath of Kanye's antisemitic comments, Adidas has distanced itself from the Yeezy designer and ended their contract after nine fruitful years. While the partnership has ended, the contract did give Adidas the freedom to continue to sell the Yeezy designs under a different name and without the involvement of West.
Ye had also entered a deal with both the Gap and Balenciaga, releasing a collection earlier this year. Kanye later ended ties with the Gap over what he described as loss of control of the project.
In 2013, Kanye West signed an endorsement deal with Adidas to retail his Yeezy designs.  The collaboration was proven to be a huge success as the annual sales ballooned to $1 billion.
